Petr Kučera

Petr is an attorney at law at Blockchain Legal, a law firm specializing in legal services for innovative technologies. With more than a decade of experience in legal practice — since 2020 as a licensed attorney — he focuses on ICT law, intellectual property, contractual matters, and dispute resolution.

Petr has a strong interest in emerging technologies and strives to understand them also on a technical level, which gives him valuable insight into the legal issues he handles for clients. His involvement with cryptocurrencies dates back to 2014, when he was first introduced to Bitcoin by Radim Kozub and Pavel Urbaczka. Since then, he has been working with crypto assets and their legal implications at a time when legal awareness of Bitcoin and crypto assets was still in its infancy. This long-standing experience enables him to provide comprehensive and practical legal solutions in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.

Over the course of his practice, Petr has contributed to, among other things:

  • preparing legal analyses and contractual documentation for various crypto projects (including DeFi and Web3);

  • representing clients in court proceedings related to crypto assets;

  • advising on and drafting IP-related agreements involving complex software solutions or artistic works.
